"Distant Host : New York City" was a project designed for travelers to view their destinations prior to departure. Waguih and I were very excited by the idea of showing "our" town in the most exciting and comprehensive way possible. We went EVERYwhere! -- the WTC, the Museums, Chinatown, Midtown, Rockefeller Center, the Lower East Side, The Empire State Building, Harlem, Little Italy, the Circle Line -- over the course of about one month we spent every day and night together, shooting and seeing and enjoying this town.
Waguih wrote the text and shot the videos; I shot the stills.
For the finale, Waguih wrote a general statement about this city that he loved so much.....and this short film was the result.
"Live the remaining of his life, and live it well"
